Russia’s AvtoVAZ owes 20 mln rbl to Penza car component plant

SARATOV, Aug 26 (PRIME) – Russia’s largest carmaker AvtoVAZ owes 20 million rubles for car components produced at the Serdobsk Machine Building Plant located in the central Russian Penza Region, the regional government said in a statement late on Thursday.

“As of today, thanks to the economic difficulties Volzhsky Avtomobilny Zavod (AvtoVAZ) is suffering it has accrued a 20 million ruble debt to the Serdobsk facility,” the statement read.

Governor Ivan Belozyortsev has sent a letter to AvtoVAZ reminding it of the debt, the government said.

The Serdobsk Machine Building Plant’ main production are car components for AvtoVAZ cars, including the Lada Vesta, and casings for Kamaz trucks.
